Dolan Bros., Saint John, 1901. NB-50.
This 1901 bottle is in decent condition. The glaze is relatively clean. The lip is good. There is one large chip off the base edge and two smaller ones that are probably from the bottle being separated from the potter's wheel. This bottle has some surface rust and stain that could probably be cleaned with a little elbow grease.

Dolan Bros, St. John, 1903. NB-52.
This 1903 bottle is in very good condition. The glaze is exceptionally clean. There is some scratching but not too bad. The only damage is a small 1/4 inch chip on the shoulder to the left of the transfer. The blue top is very dark - much darker than usual and is a very nice colour.

Dolan Bros, St. John, 1904. NB-53.
This 1904 bottle is in a condition that is hard to classify. The glaze is quite clean though there is some scratching in the shoulder. The lip is perfect. There is one tiny flake in the shoulder. The issue is a large manufacturing flaw at the base. The bottle is cracked right round the base. At one point where the crack splits in two a small piece flaked out and was glued back in place. Because of this serious flaw the cream glaze seems to have come away from the crack which is why you see a sort of peach colour. Strange indeed.
Opening Bid: $25
Estimated Range: $50-75
Sold for $90

The glaze is heavily scratched and marred by numerous flaws. A rare bottle in exceedingly poor shape.
