| 1 | Olive Amber Beaver Quart, #12 on base. Red Book #424. In this sale, we are happy to be featuring a set of five coloured Beaver quarts. There are two olive amber ones. This example is a number 12 mould. The colour is a true olive amber with strong yellow tones and some real nice orangy swirls. Excellent condition. Rough ground lip. On the right mould seam at the mouth there is a 1/4 inch chip. On the left side of the mouth from the front back are several small flakes. See the photos for a close-up. Overall the glass has a nice gloss, with just a bit exterior stain at the rear. Some minor surface scuffs and scratches - the worst being an inch long scratch mid-body at the rear. The amber button style lid is an orange amber. The insert has some light stain and minor imperfections. An extremely rare jar in great colour! Opening Bid: $1,000 Estimated Range: $1,500-2,000 Sold for $1,600.

| 2 | Olive Amber Beaver Quart, #8 on base. Red Book #424. Similar to the previous lot, but a number 8 mould. The beaver is more heavily embossed. The beaver's body appears fatter, more round and pronounced. The head is relatively plump. The front arm however is thinner. The log is noticeable bigger. Altogether a different embossing. Terrific olive amber with strong yellow tones. Near mint condition. Perfect ground lip with hardly any flaking at all. Great gloss with only the tiniest wisp of stain. A few small scrapes but real minor stuff. Pretty near perfect! The button style lid is an orange amber. Large flat flake on the side of the insert. No stain. Gorgeous jar! Opening Bid: $1,000 Estimated Range: $1,500-2,000

| 3 | Medium Amber Beaver Quart #4. Red Book #424. We have three medium amber Beaver quarts in this sale - all different moulds. This one is a number 4. Fabulous colour with a strong orange hue. The beaver is well embossed but the details are a bit faint. The head is relatively fat. Near mint condition. Very fine 1/4 paper thin flake off the inside of the lip at left rear. Impossible to photograph. The shot with the lip horizontal shows two small moon-shaped bruises that are visible from the outside at the point of the flake. Second tiny flea bit on the inside lip edge beside the first. Good gloss to the glass with a little bit of internal and external stain. No damage to speak of. Comes with a matching button style insert also in near mint shape. Real nice example! Opening Bid: $600Estimated Range: $1,000-1,200

| 4 | Medium Amber Beaver Quart #9. Red Book #424. Very similar to the previous lot, but a number 9 mould. Note the embossed line between the beaver and the word. The glass is perhaps a bit lighter coloured than the previous one. The beaver is more heavily embossed with more detail visible in the fur of the body and in the face. The face is the fatter variety. Excellent condition. Some roughness to the lip. Two flakes on the left side about 1/4 inch each. Very shallow flakes. One larger flat flat out of the inside edge of the lip at the rear - about 1/2 inch wide. Several other flea bites. Very clean glass - stain free. There is a line in the glass that runs from the lip, down across the front of the beaver to just above the writing. As it descends, this line curves up like a checkmark. This is not a crack but simply a line in the glass. It is visible in the photos. Matching button lid. There is a 1/4 inch fish eye bruise off the inside edge of the lid. Beautiful piece! Opening Bid: $600Estimated Range: $1,000-1,200

| 5 | Medium Amber Beaver Quart #10. Red Book #424. This amber quart is a number 10. Arguably the darkest of the three. Very heavily embossed beaver with strong detailing. Thinner face. Excellent condition. Well ground lip. Some thin flaking on the inside edge. 1/2 inch fish eye bruise on the inside edge at the front along an area of roughness. This jar has two unusual folds in the glass - one front, one rear. Both are heavy enough to be felt like a mould seam line along the inside of the jar. Definitely not damage, just crudely blown glass. Very clean jar with some internal stain that looks like it would clean up. Matching button style lid with a tiny flake off the inside edge. Beautiful jar! Opening Bid: $600Estimated Range: $1,000-1,200 |

| 6 | Midget pint left-facing Beaver. Red Book #426 Certainly one of the classic Canadian jars, this left-facing clear midget pint Beaver is a sweet bottle! Early machine-made jar. Heavily embossed beaver with great detailing. Very good condition. Half inch heavy hairline crack in the mouth on the left side which runs parallel to the mould seam. There is a 1/4 inch area of rough chipping on the very top of the rimt. Nice clear glass with the faintest hint of amethyst. Light stain. Clear plain insert in mint condition. Very nice jar despite the flaw. Opening Bid: $300 Estimated Range: $400-600

| 7 | Scotia Quart. Red Book #2575. This quart size Scotia Trademark jar is exceptionally rare. This is the ground lip variant. The lip is rough ground with many flakes. The two largest are about 1/4 inches long. The body of the jar is nice and clean with just a bit of internal stain. The glass is fairly crude with some lines and swirls. Overall excellent condition. Matching mint lid. Very tough jar to find! Opening Bid: $1,000 Estimated Range: $2,000-3,000 Lot not sold. |

| 8 | Hamilton Glass Works, cork-style, No. 1. Red Book #1191. The smallest and rarest size of the cork style Hamilton Glassworks jar. These are near impossible to find. A lucky digger came up with this one a couple of summers ago. Heavily stained to the point of being etched. The surface of the glass actually has a texture to it. Other than the stain, this jar is near mint with only one tiny peck in the edge of the lip. The embossing is faint. "Hamilton" is well embossed, but "Glassworks" is almost illegible. A perfect candidate for tumbling. While the etching cannot be removed, the clarity of the glass could be restored and you would have an excellent specimen. Mint ones are near impossible to find! Opening Bid:$1,500 Estimated Range: $2,000-3,000 Lot not sold. |

| 9 | Hamilton Glass Works clamp Quart. Red Book #1190. This is a stunning example of a Hamilton Glassworks quart clamp jar! The colour is a true cornflower blue. Excellent condition. The glass has a wonderful gloss with some large bubbles. Well embossed. 1/4 inch flake on the outer edge of the lip at the rear. Otherwise perfect. A beautiful example! Comes with a matching lid and original clamp - both perfect. Sweet! Opening Bid: $200 Estimated Range: $350-400 Sold for $400. |

The body has a perfect high sheen gloss to the glass. Nice amethyst cast. Only the faintest bit of internal stain. Original lid in near mint condition. The bail is so good it appears new.
