Roumilhac Jug, Quebec City.

This two gallon Roumilhac jug from Quebec City has some interesting incised writing, Note that it indicates the store was opposite the palace. Near mint with just a couple of small lip chips.

A good piece from a merchant whose wares are seldom seen.

A nice pair of Radam's Microbe Killer jugs. Both near mint condition. A bit of glaze crazing on the one with the simpler writing.

JN Renaud, St Janvier Jug.

A two gallon jug from a small Quebec town - St. Janvier. Near mint condition. Two inch tight hairline in the base edge. The flower is typical of the later Farrar pieces.

A nice clean half gallon jug from Quebec City - lower town. Excellent condition. One large glazed flake at the rear base edge. Small glazed flake in the lip.

One gallon jug from Louis Poulin of Quebec. Very good condition. Two small lip flakes. Large kiln burn at the rear.

A one gallon cone top style jug from JE Pineau of Fraserville, Quebec. Nice brown glaze to the top. Excellent condition. Some glaze crazing but no damage. Rare small town piece.

Flack and Van Arsdale Flower Jug.

A two gallon Flack & Van Arsdale jug with a nice example of their single flower. Very clean glaze. Heavily damaged handle poorly glued together. A few small pockmarks and flakes. Two inch hairline at base edge. Couple of rubs. Displays great.

Bertrand and Lavoie, St. Johns Quebec.

This one gallon jug is from one of the lesser known later period St.John's potteries - Bertrand & Lavoie. The mark is very faint but legible. It says: MADE BY BERTRAND & LAVOIE IBERVILLE PQ. Repaired handle. Not a bad job which is not immediately apparent.

Examples from this pottery are not plentiful.

Chaput and Fils, Montreal Jug.

Nice two gallon Montreal jug from Chaput & Fils. Very good condition. Exceptionally clean glaze. Large flat flake on the right hand side of the lip. Very tight 4" hairline through the writing. Tight hairline in handle. Flake off base edge. Clean crock that displays well.

Note that the second line of incising is upside down.

Tea Pot, Bell Pottery, Quebec.

This lovely reddish glazed tea pot is attributed by Webster in his Early Canadian Pottery (1971), pg. 198 to the Bell Pottery of Quebec. Fairly large pot of about a half gallon size. Missing its lid.

Excellent condition with only a few minor flakes.
