Wm Cook, Toronto Soda Water.
William Cook operated the Queen's Head Inn at 460 King Street in Toronto in the 1840s and later a second tavern in Leslieville. He is believed to have made soda water between 1852 and 1856. Bottles from this operation are extremely rare.
This aqua torpedo is one of only a handful of intact examples known. North American made in a pale blue aqua glass. This specimen is in excellent condition. Stained from burial, but could be easily tumbled. 1/2 inch hairline above the embossing that sits over a bubble. Quite likely in-manufacturing but a hairline nonetheless. Otherwise perfect. You will not find a better one. Terrific early Ontario torpedo!
