This is a gorgeous example of the amber arrow neck squat James Matthews from Toronto. Fabulous trademark rampant lion over an anchor. As close to mint as you can come. Aside from a tiny bit of case wear - this one is perfect. Great body gloss. No stain. Original closure in excellent condition. A sparkler!!

A stellar example of an amber arrow neck J. Trebilcock from Toronto. Tumbled to a near mint condition. Nice crude whittled glass. Great bright orange amber. Crude glass with a mean swirl on the inside. A few tiny bruises but otherwise perfect. Fabulous!

John Warmington, Port Hope Gravitating Stopper.
We are pleased to offer a small quality collection of early Ontario gravitating stoppers.
This one is arguably Canada's best. Gravitating stopper bottles are typically quite plainly embossed. This extremely rare example from John Warmington of Port Hope has a terrific crown trademark. Excellent condition. One tiny flea bite bruise in the lip. Faint ring of internal stain. Embossed with the John Matthews patent information on the base. Hard to imagine there is a better example of this rare and beautiful soda.

A rare C.E. Starr gravitating stopper from Clinton and Guelph Ontario. Incredible near mint condition. Aside from a bit of minor scratching in one small patch in the embossing, this bottle is sparkling mint. Full body gloss. No stain. Amazing bottle!!

Foy and Starr, Peterboro Gravitating Stopper.
A rare gravitating stopper from the partnership of Foy & Starr of Peterborough Ontario. Very good condition. Heavily tumbled to the point of appearing a bit frosted. Many minor abrasions from burial. No damage. Matthews patent information on the base. A good example of a rare and early Peterborough bottle.

Foy & Starr, Port Perry Gravitating Stopper.
It is interesting to note that we are featuring three gravitating stopper bottles from CE Starr, first on his own in Port Hope, then in partnership with Foy in Peterborough, and now the same partnership in Port Perry. This example is very good. Nice clean glass. Large thin flake off the base that begins with a 1/4 chip on the base edge on the right side of the bottle. Half the original stopper remains lodged inside. A nice early bottle.

A gravitating stopper from D. Brown of Gravenhurst Ontario. Excellent condition. Quite a lot of exterior abrasions (small scratches from burial) but very clean. Some swirling in the glass from hard soil. An attractive example of an early small town soda.

Clark Quart Soda, Caledonia, Ontario.
This Clark quart soda from Caledonia Ontario is exceptionally rare. The crossed key trademark is highly attractive. This example is in excellent condition. Tumbled clean. Still has a bit of a ghostly sheen. Heavy case wear. Case wear towards the base has resulted in patches of multiple tiny fractures; these are pretty minor.
A big beautiful rare quart.
