Meadows and Co, St Catharines ON iron pontilled squat soda.
This is an extremely rare early Ontario soda. William Meadows made soda water in St. Catherine's Canada West for just a short time. Circa. 1863-65. Only a handful of bottles have survived from his operation. This blob soda has an unusual heavily tapered shape. Iron pontiled base. The overall condition is excellent but there is a large flake at the base rear. This deep flake is about the size of a quarter. It is on the very back so the bottle displays well. The glass is super clean. Very crude with tons of bubbles and whittle. A very rare pontiled CW soda.
