Auction 27 - BEERS. Lots BE-1 to BE-4
| BE-1 | W. Huether, Neustadt Beer. Huether beers from Kitchener are relatively common. This is an extremely rare example from the company's branch in Neustadt, Ontario. Machine-made clear crown going slightly amethyst. We had this bottle tumbled with mixed results. There remains a fair amount of stain. Perfect lip. Another round of tumbling, inside only, might render it clear. Couple of minor flaws to the body from burial. 1/4" bruise on the base edge at front. A very rare beer small town beer. Opening Bid: $75Estimated Range: $120-150 For sale for $75. |

| BE-2 | Pair of Rare Ontario Beers. This lot includes two rare machine-made amber pint beers. The Wm Schwan from Owen Sound is a very tough bottle to find. This is a gorgeous example with more character than you would expect from a machine-made bottle. Absolutely chalk full of tiny seed bubbles and some nice colour swirl to the glass. Mint condition. Mr. Schwan was in business from 1887-1917, so this was likely his last bottle type used. The Rudolph Begg is a rare St. Thomas beer. Moderately heavy case wear and a few tiny bruises. These are both very rare examples of late period Ontario beers. The Owen Sound bottle is especially scarce. Opening Bid: $150 Estimated Range: $200-300 Sold for $180. |

| BE-3 | L.Kuntz, Park Brewery, Waterloo. A beautiful example of a harder to find L Kuntz Park Brewery Waterloo, Ontario beer. Clear glass. Applied-lip. Excellent condition. Tiny bit of internal stain that would clean. 3" scrape at rear but nothing serious. Opening Bid: $25 Estimated Range: $40-50 Sold for $25. |
|
| BE-4 | Mixed Beer Lot. This lot contains five Ontario beers. From left to right. A machine-made amber Carling beer with maltese cross trademark from London, Ontario. Heavy wear from burial and small tiny bruises. An earlier blob aqua beer from Robert Davies' Dominion Brewery of Toronto. Heavily stained. 1/2" hairline in base edge. Machine-made amber Reinhart & Salvador Brewery, Toronto. Stained with some case wear. Same as previous in an applied-lip clear variant. Light stain. Finally, a machine-made amber O'Keefe, Toronto. Light stain with minor imperfections. A good dealer lot or starter collection. Opening Bid:$50 Estimated Range: $75-100 Sold for $50. |
