What's it Worth?
Do you have one or a thousand old bottles, jugs, crocks, or other collections of Canadianan or antiques that you would like to know more about? Contact us, with as many photos as you like, and we will do our best to help you find out more about the pieces you have.
Oftentimes, when a family member or friend dies and someone is left with the responsibility of executor, you end up with the responsibility of dispersing a large collection of clocks, butter moulds, fountain pens, toys, or what-have-you. Depending on the contents of the collection, there may be considerable value in having us review the contents. Perhaps there are only a few items worthy of highlighting in an absentee sale, but it is best to know. One consignor had a window full of antique glass that he had to dispose of. All were dug bottles, and most were only worth a dollar or two. We pointed out the $1,000-plus fruit jar amidst the rest, and were able to find it a new home for almost $2,000. The rest of the bottles were given away - with full knowledge that the true value had been realized.
